A day in the life of a DATACENTERS, CLOUD & SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Your daily tasks :

• Act as expert in Active Directory, DNS and Proxy
• Maintain operational readiness and capacity planning for servers, virtual platforms and backup systems
• Administer server and workstation lifecycle management platforms
• Administer Cloud workspaces
• Administer collaborative workspaces (messaging, instant messaging) and monitor licenses
• Coordinate operations to upgrade or correct incidents in collaboration with business and change management contacts
• Provide the necessary expertise to project managers for projects requiring the implementation of new solutions around virtual platforms and backup systems
• Maintain the security of servers, virtual platforms and backup systems
• Participate in security patch validation committees as an expert in system infrastructure, virtualization and backup
• Carry out patching work in accordance with the process validated with security, and respect committed SLAs (deadlines, coverage and patch rates)
• Maintain sustained communication with stakeholders during patching campaigns
• Manage the licensing aspect of virtual platform components, backup systems, messaging and collaborative tools
• Write and maintain engineering and operating documents for solutions used by the team
• Contribute to various technical and business projects
• SLA-compliant handling of incidents relating to Active Directory, DNS, Servers, Virtual platforms, Backup systems, Collaborative space & Messaging, Cloud space, System and share security
• Participate in various incident points and crisis units, and provide the necessary system expertise for diagnosis, analysis and resolution within the agreed timeframes

You are the ideal candidate if you are/have…

Education

• Engineering degree or Master's degree in IT, Network
• Telecommunications
• Or a related field
• Experience: 5 years of experience in datacenter & systems engineering
• Reporting: Datacenters, cloud & systems Engineering Manager
• Production/update of documentation
• Compliance with procedures, standards and methods
• Attendance

Les must-have pour ce poste :

• Mastery of Windows Server systems (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022 & 2025)
• Mastery of virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix) and backup/restore solutions (Veeam)
• Good command of VMware, TSM & Networker licensing aspects
• Experience deploying virtualization solutions (redesign, implementation, evolution)
• Experience deploying backup solutions (redesign, implementation, upgrades)
• Good knowledge of Linux administration (CentOS, Debian, Redhat)
• Advanced knowledge of system, network and telephony infrastructure architecture concepts and techniques
• Advanced knowledge of communication and telecommunication systems technologies, protocols and tools
• Knowledge of IS management (ITIL…)
