Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our Guidewire transformation team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating insurance solutions, while having the opportunity to receive training and certification on Guidewire, the global standard for insurance platforms.

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE applications in the insurance domain.
• Implement solutions using Spring frameworks (MVC, Boot, Security).
• Develop and integrate REST and SOAP web services.
• Apply exception handling, interface design, and logging best practices.
• Work with middleware and API integration technologies (e.g., MuleSoft, ESB, Apache Camel).
• Manage source code using GIT or SVN.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Support functional and automation testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security.
• Proven experience with REST and SOAP web services.
• Familiarity with middleware integration (API, ESB, MuleSoft, Apache Camel).
• Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, or Oracle databases.
• Experience using version control systems (GIT, SVN).
• Experience in exception handling, interface design, and logging.
• Exposure to the insurance domain (P&C) is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of functional and automation testing (BDD frameworks such as Cucumber/Selenium) is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Guidewire platform or willingness to be trained and certified.
• Data exchange and transformation (XML, YAML).
• Business analysis skills (user stories, requirement gathering).
• Certifications in Java, Spring, ISTQB, or related fields.
