Description du poste

I. Purpose of the Role


As a Legal Apprentice, you will support the Legal & Compliance team in managing ongoing legal and regulatory requirements under Moroccan law. Under close supervision, you will contribute to legal research, drafting and review of documentation, coordination of statutory filings, and provide support to internal stakeholders in Morocco.

This role offers a strong learning environment within an international group and exposure to a broad range of corporate, compliance and operational topics.

II. Key Responsibilities


1. Legal Research & Analysis: 


Conduct legal research on Moroccan laws, regulations, and jurisprudence relevant to the business.
Prepare clear summaries, research notes and memos for the Legal & Compliance team and internal stakeholders.
Monitor and report on changes in the Moroccan legal and regulatory framework.


2. Drafting & Documentation


Assist in the drafting, review and updating of:
Contracts and commercial agreements
Standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies and internal procedures
Documentation related to Compliance and Data Privacy assessments
Perform first-level review of legal documents to ensure alignment with Moroccan legal requirements and internal guidelines.


3. Operational / Onsite Support


Liaise with external legal advisors, consultants and other third parties for ongoing matters and submissions.
Organize, update and maintain legal files, registers and archives (physical and electronic).
Support the preparation and convening of Board and governance meetings (notices, agendas, minutes, supporting documents).
Contribute to the preparation and delivery of legal and compliance trainings to business and support functions.
Support visits and interactions with public authorities and governmental offices for filings and registrations.
Facilitate statutory filings, returns and other regulatory submissions as required.
Support contract lifecycle activities (signature process, follow-up, record-keeping).
Act as a first point of contact (under supervision) for Moroccan business and support teams on basic legal and compliance queries, escalating when needed.

4. Compliance & Due Diligence


Assist in performing compliance checks with applicable Moroccan laws, regulations and internal policies.
Contribute to due diligence exercises on transactions, suppliers or corporate matters, including collection and review of relevant documentation.
Help document and track compliance actions and recommendations.

III. Profile and Qualifications

Education & Background

Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Law degree (Licence/Master) in Morocco.
Basic understanding of the Moroccan legal system, legal procedures and regulatory environment.
